Supporting the health and wellness needs of single mothers and their children moving from homelessness to economic security

 

TCMS Physician’s Wellness Program 

Offering free, anonymous “Safe-harbor” counseling sessions to Travis County physicians  and their spouses/life partners

 

Volunteer Healthcare Clinic

Improving the health of low income and uninsured people by providing high-quality healthcare, prevention, education, and support for long-term health

Any Baby Can 

Partnering with families to build stability, develop skills, and unlock each child’s full potential, focusing on mental and physical health for children with developmental delays, chronic illness, cancer, and auditory and visual impairment

 

Austin Center for Grief and Loss 

A resource for grief, loss, and trauma counseling in the Austin area, serving our community through support groups, school-based groups in title one schools and therapy

 

Casa Marianella 

Welcoming displaced immigrants and promoting self sufficiency by providing shelter and support services

 

Half Helen 

A mobile eye clinic providing vision screenings and eye exams, fitting patients for frames and lenses, wanting to ensure that every child in need will receive a pair of glasses of their choice 

 

Memory Caregiver Academy of Austin 

Striving to identify, expertly train, and send out young people from local high schools to be qualified, competent, and compassionate caregivers for elderly patients with dementia

 

Mother's Milk Bank at Austin 

Saving babies lives by providing prescribed donor human milk to those with medical needs, relying on the compassion of healthy lactating moms producing more milk than they need during their first year postpartum and their knowledge that they can become a milk donor

2023 Grant Recipients

 

The TCMA Board is pleased to present our 2023 Community Service Grant Recipients.  These organizations were thoroughly vetted by our grant selection committee. By supporting them, we are furthering our mission to enhance the health of Central Texans. We are eternally grateful to all our donors, without whom these grants would not be possible.  

 

At our April 2023 General Meeting, the following organizations will be awarded grant money to continue the work that is so vital to the health of our community.

Many of these organizations do not have fundraising capability and are dependent on grants like ours to be able to provide medical care in our community.
