Elizabet Ney Museum Tour

& Lunch at Uncle Nickys Italian
302 East 44th Street, Austin, Tx 78751 (Elizabet Ney)
4222 Duvall Street, Austin, Tx 78751 (Uncle Nicky’s)

Join TCMA Alliance Arts for a private tour of the Elizabet Ney Museum at 11:00 am followed by a dutch treat lunch at 12:00 pm at Uncle Nicky’s Italian (4 minute walk). Bring a prospective TCMA member, or grab a member you haven’t seen for a while! Allow extra time after lunch to browse other gems in the Hyde Park District.
The Elizabet Ney Museum is the historic home and studio built in 1892 for Elizabet Ney, a world known German sculptor that moved to Austin in 1807 with her Scottish physician husband Edmund Montgomery. A tour of the building is equally valuable to the contents inside. The
history of its prior owner is even better. Elizabet has been described as an early feminist, flamboyant, and unconventional. If only those walls could talk!
