Beth O'Farrell - VP Community Service

EMAIL: vp-communityservice@tcmalliance.org

Beth O’Farrell moved to Austin in the summer of 1998 (one of the hottest on record) when her husband, Kevin, took a job with Austin Regional Clinic.  She was five months pregnant with her second child and was none too sure she was going to like it here!  That was 18 years ago and Beth, Kevin, and daughters Caroline (21) and Emma (18), have been happy to call Austin home these many years.

Beth grew up in Lincoln, where she also attended the University of NE, and met future husband Kevin.  From there they moved to Omaha, where Beth obtained her Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at UNO and Kevin attended medical school at the University of NE med center.  They then moved to Kansas City for general surgery residency and finally south to Austin.

Beth has been a member of the Alliance for nearly 18 years and has held many positions, including VP Community Service, VP Financial Development, VP Medical Affairs, and Holiday Luncheon Chair.  She was presented with the Volunteer of the Year award in 2007.  Beth currently loves spending time with friends on the St. Louise House and Austin Adventures committees and is looking forward to serving in the role of VP Community Service again.

In her spare time, Beth enjoys travel, hiking, exercise, live music, and cooking. She and Kevin will soon be adjusting to the next phase of life, as “empty nesters,” and look forward to the many adventures ahead!
