Cindy grew up in a military family and alternated living between San Antonio and 3 different places in Europe. She attended St. Mary's University and worked in marketing and for a division of Abbott Laboratories.  She also became certified to teach pilates in 2001 and still enjoys practicing pilates and yoga several times a week.

Cindy has been a member of the Alliance since 1994, volunteering in many positions from Secretary to Gala Chair to President to Webmaster. She states that she “has learned something new and different from each position and is challenged by the growth of the organization and the innumerable talents of the members.”  She was presented with the Volunteer of the Year award for her work on the website and technology development of the TCMA. Her favorite group in the Alliance is the Book Club.

In addition to the Alliance, Cindy owns and runs a Medical Spanish for CME company called Medical Studies Abroad and travels to Costa Rica several times a year to provide administration for the classes.  She enjoys biking, hiking, playing with her Great Dane and being a Mom to her two children; Austin and Annalee.
